Reflections on the 2025 BMDA Annual Medical Congress

From October 16 to 18, the Belize Medical and Dental Association (BMDA) hosted its 42nd Annual Medical Congress under the theme Beyond Barriers: Uniting for Bold Public Health Solutions and National Wellness.
Held in Belize City, the Congress served as a national platform for physicians, dentists, public health experts, and policymakers to address urgent health priorities and build coordinated, practical responses.
Key sessions focused on maternal and child health, strengthening health systems, cancer and infectious disease pathways, emergency medicine, pediatric care, and mental health.
The Congress reinforced a shared commitment to resilient health systems, continuous professional development, and better outcomes for all Belizeans.
